The Icy Mohawk

Not that we’re going to see the ice jam on the Mohawk River this weekend…but maybe some of us will. Mother Nature unleashed her fury last week when she thawed this wonderful river, and, in the process, cast huge chucks of ice off her shoulders. Schenectady Forest Preserve

The Schenectady County Forest Preserve is located in the Town of Duanesburg on Lake Road. This is a well-marked and easy to walk trail, leading to a large beaver pond.
